Kayla Gagnon has been doing a great job in her first year in the JRA1 group. Kayla has missed only 1 practice and has continually improved in her practices. At the Autumn Harvest Meet, she improved in 8 out of 9 swims, swimming the 500 free for the first time. She picked up the Buffalo cut in the 200 IM at that meet.
Anthony DiCarlo has stepped up the effort in his 2nd year in the group. He started out the year leading his lane until he moved into a lane with faster intervals. He has kept up the intesity in his new lane. At the Autumn Harvest, Anthony picked up 10 best times, dropping 47 seconds in the 500 free! Anthony earned his first Buffalo cuts at the meet, qualifying in the 50 & 100 butterfly.
Melanie Arnold has really been working hard this season, missing only 2 practices so far. She has been doing a great job in practices and it paid off with a super Autumn Harvest Meet. She improved in all of her events with huge drops and a first ever 500 free. Mel dropped over 14 seconds in the 200 free, more than 28 in the 200 back, almost 10 seconds in the 200 IM and over 7 in the 100 free, just missing a Buffalo cut by a slim margin.
Michael Campos is doing a great job in his first season of the Junior A1 practice. He has made 97.5% of practices, missing just one. He has improved greatly in his practice efforts and it propelled him to all best times at the Autumn Harvest Meet. Michael dropped 12 seconds in the 200 IM, he dropped almost 18 seconds in the 200 free and a whopping 51 seconds in his 500 free!
